Stopped in with my son and his 2 college friends during a visit to Rowan on Columbus Day. He wanted home cooking so I googled spanish food and found this gem walking distance from Rowan U. I asked the boys for their comments: the pernil tastes like grandmas (whaaaat!!!!), the pollo guisao and rice was tasty. I had Ropa Vieja and white rice and I was like wow!!!!! Small place, clean, quiet vibe with limited seating....cozy. Representing Cuban, PR, and DR cooking. worth checking out. They should offer a student discount to get the word out. I posted about it on the Rowan University page and over 100 people now know about it in less than 24hrs. Can't wait to go back.

I ordered food from Plato Bueno and let me tell you — it’s so good and authentic! The food is absolutely delicious, everything tastes fresh, and the pastelitos are amazing. I got the chicken with cheese and it was perfect. I also ordered the rice and fried pork chops platter, and it was so well-seasoned and flavorful. You get a generous portion for what you pay, and everything tastes homemade. On top of that, the customer service is top-notch. The young man working there was so hardworking, organized, and polite taking phone orders, making the food, and keeping everything running smoothly. I 10000% recommend Plato Bueno the food, the service, and the authenticity are all incredible!

We ordered the pepper steak with rice and beans, stew chicken with Spanish rice and the pastellios. We finished everything because it was delicious and also cheap. The person who served us was very nice as well. We will definitely be back.

I visited this establishment for the first time today, and I must say what an excellent experience from start to finish! The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere right away. The restaurant is immaculately clean both inside and out, making it an ideal spot for dine-in. The seating area is comfortable, and you can tell attention has been paid to every detail. The food was clearly prepared with love flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. Fried items were cooked to perfection with minimal wait time, and everything came out hot and well-presented. The pricing is fair, and portion sizes were generous just as requested. You truly get great value for what you pay. I tried the chicken, power chop, and chicken empanadas each one delicious! I ordered the pernil from this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! So well seasoned and juicy. It’s by far the best Spanish food I’ve eaten in South Jersey. If you’re looking authentic, how your grandmother cooked for Christmas this is definitely the spot.
